Lantern Making Activities
Walk in memory, walk in celebration, walk together
The Claire House Lantern Walk is happening on Sat 14th October and will start at Eureka! Science + Discovery. Throughout the run up to the event, we’ll have lantern making activity in our Make Create zone each weekend.
You’ll be able to build your own lantern to take with you on your walk or you can leave your lantern creation for another person to carry on their walk. There will also be a memory wall for you to leave your written or drawn memories.

Please note:
– To gain access to our Make Create zone for the workshops, you must have a valid Eureka! Science + Discovery ticket and a booking for that day.
– However, from 5pm on October 14th, anyone registered for the walk is welcome to come into Make Create to collect their lantern via the balloon arch on the car park side of the building.
– From 5pm, the car park at Eureka! Science + Discovery will be free for all attending the event.
– You can register on the day! There’ll be a marquee near the balloon arch for last minute registration.
– There will be performers on site to keep families entertained at the start of their walk!
– Our friends at Arriva will provide two buses to bring walkers back to Seacombe Ferry Terminal from New Brighton between 7.30pm and 9pm.
