The festivities are well under way at Eureka! Science + Discovery! The decorations are up and we have three massive trees dotted around the building – some even have animals hiding inside them! We’ve also had several reports of Elf sightings around our exhibitions at Eureka! If you spot Archie, be sure to let a member of staff know!

Ever wondered how Santa and his reindeer navigate ‘round the globe? Have you ever seen a snowstorm in a jar? And what on earth do elves eat?! We explore all this and more during our Elf Experiments! We’ll have our resident Elf present a series of conundrums and dilemmas  and delve into the whosits and whatsits of Christmas throughout our ELF EXPERIMENTS! This will be presented in the Johnson Foundation Science Theatre each day at 11am, 1.45pm and 4pm during our festive opening hours.

If all the fun of the Elf Experiments hasn’t worn you out too much, snuggle up with Max, our giant puppy, in the Living Room for one of our Storytime Sessions! Storytime will be happening at 11.45am and 2.30pm! Our Elf will present the story time and will even bring a selection of stuffed animals that are looking for some warm arms to snuggle into!

At 12.30pm and 3.15pm, head to the living room in our Home section again for a Sign-Along, where we’ll be singing Christmas Carols and teaching step-by-step how to sign them too!

11am – Science Experiments: Science Theatre (recommended age: 7 – 14 years)
11.45am – Storytime: Living Room (recommended age: 3 – 7 years)
12.30pm – Sign-Along Carols: Living Room (recommended age: 3 – 7 years)
1.45pm – Elf Experiments: Science Theatre (recommended age: 7 – 14 years)

At any point during your busy day, head to Make Create to find our Coffee Cart manned by a specially trained Barista! Choose from a wide selection of speciality coffees and teas as well as our brand new line of festive drinks & snacks! (make sure you try the Millionaire’s Hot chocolate!)
